Ice Ice Baby
To celebrate my brother’s 22nd birthday, I bought him a small bottle of scorpion vodka and a pack of 12 ice shot glasses. As they were sitting unused at my mum’s house I gladly took them back and made some of my own! The ice shot glasses are a set of 12 single plastic moulds contained in a little serving tray which enables you to create 12 singular ice shot glasses using any drink possible. I used cranberry juice, mango juice, apple juice, irn bru and chocolate! Most of a 230g bar of chocolate was used to fill just two of these shot moulds however would recommend them as they do not melt and after you’ve drunk many shots of baileys out of them you can eat them afterwards – yum! Jelly is another good substitute. Or when you are done with the shot glasses you can even use them as ice in a larger drink. I bought mine from Find Me A Gift, click here to get yours. Other good combinations/ice shot recipes include:
- Frozen advocat filled with Midori
- Frozen fruit juice and Pimms with thin strawberry slices round the rim
- Frozen water tabasco with Vodka
- Frozen cranberry juice (or jelly) with Vodka
- Frozen grape juice with citrus flavoured Vodka
- Frozen lemon juice with Tequila
- Frozen lemonade with Gin
- Frozen tropical fruit juce with Peach Schnapps
- Jelly Sex on the Beach: Mix 1 small packet of orange jelly, 1 small packet of cranberry jelly with 1 cup boiling water until dissolved, add 1/4 cup of Vodka and 1/4 cup of Peach Schnapps, then refrigerate in the moulds. Pour Vodka or Peach Schnapps once ready.
- Jelly Strawberry Margarita: Mix 2 small packets of strawberry jelly with 1 cup boiling water until dissolved, add 1/2 cup lime juice, 1/2 cup Tequila and 1/4 cup Triple Sec, then refrigerate in the moulds. Pour Tequila and Triple Sec once ready.
- Jelly Tequila Sunrise: Mix 2 small packets of orange jelly with 1 cup boiling water until dissolved, add 1/2 cup Tequila and 1/2 cup Grenadine, then refrigerate in the moulds. Pour Tequila once ready.
- Jelly Bacardi: Mix 1 small packet of lemon jelly, 1 small packet of lime jelly with 1 cup boiling water until dissolved, add 1/2 cup White Rum and 1/2 cup Grenadine, then refrigerate in the moulds. Pour Rum once ready.
